Want to get involved with a community overseas or in Australia? Unsure how to go about it; not even sure where to go? With the help of our members, we’ve put together a collection of students’ experiences whilst on placement.
The electives database is a compilation of information on electives that students have organised themselves. It aims to incorporate as much info as possible on the elective undertaken, who to contact, some details on the institution and some information on travel, accommodation and food.

The Medical Journal of Australia (MJA) recently published an awesome ‘e-supplement’ to their most recent journal. The title is “A Guide to Working Abroad for Australian Medical Students and Junior Doctors” and it’s a nearly 100 page guide with some extremely valuable information for any students or young doctors planning to work abroad. It is available for free online so check it out now!
