Indigenous Men’s Health Day
Insight is proud to be taking part in a community health awareness campaign in Port Augusta this year, aimed at delivering health checks and education to local Indigenous males.
Want to get involved? We are looking for up to 10 enthusiastic students who are keen to volunteer a day and night of their time to take part in this Indigenous Men’s Health Day. In addition to supporting this valuable project, students will gain exposure to Indigenous health issues and use their clinical skills to assist local doctors with measuring blood pressures, BGLs and much more.
Held on Saturday 18th September from 10am-2pm, we will drive up as a group to Port Augusta the Friday night, and return to Adelaide by Saturday night. Travel and accommodation will be at no cost to the students.
We are calling for applications now! Please email alyssa.kelly@student.adelaide.edu.au with an expression of interest, no longer than 100 words, detailing why you’d like to be involved. Make sure to include your name, year level and phone number. Applications close on 1st September, and successful applicants will be contacted by 6th September. We look forward to hearing from you!.
