Research Projects
Yalata
This project is attempting to research the usefulness of exposure of medical students to life in a remote Aboriginal community in South Australia. The students who are volunteering to come to Yalata for the two or three days all belong to either the Health and Human Rights Group (HHRG) at Flinders University or INSIGHT. The trips are designed as a cultural experience rather than just a medical experience. Dr. Jill Benson will accompany the students. The project has the support of the health service, the school, the shop, the playgroup and the administration staff of the community in Yalata.
Past INSIGHT members to attend are
1. Madeleine Gill
2. Despina Papps
