Dr. Hugh Grantham
Executive Director of Clinical Services SA Ambulance
Speaking on the relief efforts in Banda Aceh, Indonesia after the 2005 tsunamim and earthquake relief in Samoa.
Dr Hugh Grantham is the current Executive Director of Clinical Services at SA Ambulance and prior to this was medical director for over 10 years. Dr Grantham led one of Australia’s first medical response teams in Banda Aceh, immediately following the tsunami in January 2005. More recently, Dr Grantham was involved in earthquake relief efforts in Samoa.
Malcolm Hugo
Clinical Psychologist
Speaking on the role of psychological care in disaster relief in Banda Aceh and Haiti.
Malcolm Hugo is a Clinical Psychologist who has extensive work experience with MSF (Doctors Without Borders), including missions in Georgia, Uganda, Palestine, Ethiopia. Hugo will be speaking about the integral role that psychological care plays in the context of disaster relief, and will be able to speak on experience after working with MSF in Banda Aceh province in Indonesia after the tsunami, as well as in Haiti after the recent earthquake.
